We’ve been playing the game for a few weeks now and we can report that it’s certainly looking good, but you won’t have to take our word for it; Konami has confirmed that a Pes 2010 demo is incoming.

“Not long to go now until we release a demo for everyone to test,” said Konami’s European PES Team Leader Jon Murphy. “You’ll get a chance to see the new PES for yourselves and make up your minds about how we’ve reflected what the what fans want.”

There’s no word on exactly when the demo will be released.

PES 2010 is scheduled for release for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC on October 22, with versions for PS2 and PSP to follow on November 5 and Wii on November 19.

Trying to explain everything in detail would get much too complicated (and boring!), but put simply we have adopted an enhanced version of the system used for PES6 examining the experience we had with PES2008 and PES2009, which guarantees a rewarding level of play control as well as no lag & warp problems. PES2010: announced new details of the game

The development team Konami has revealed details for PES2010. The next version will focus on realism, which is reflected in the rhythm of the game.

Rebuilding the game will be crucial. Players must make the most of the way and the movement to break down the opposition and work to assess the opportunities for networking. You can not do so without scoring a well-prepared.
The skills of the individual player will be revised and a new system will allow users to integrate into a team. Mixing these abilities, activation and deactivation some others, will be generated new ways to play PES.

Even more details of the tactical slider were revealed. Scrolling allows a development of the game of attack and defense of pressing real-time, scale of the game, the media and a number of other settings. Every team in PES will have a unique tactic, but the players are free to edit any field to meet their own style of play.

The Master League hours incorporates both the Champions League that il’Europa League, offering players the chance to enjoy a full season. The success in Master League players will play in these competitions. The lure of European football can also be used to attract the strongest players on your side, with the transfer of contracts and relationships now significantly more realistic and the management of foreign exchange real.

News that a lot of people had guessed on the boards, Fernando Torres has today been confirmed as the second cover star for PES 2010! Liverpool and Spain striker joins Lionel Messi as the face of PES 2010, as Konami lifts lid on even more gameplay advances

Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH has announced that Liverpool FC and Spanish international striker Fernando Torres is to join Lionel Messi as the cover stars of PES 2010.

Torres, 25, has enjoyed an incredibly successful season both at club and international level, and will now join UEFA Champions League winner Messi on the front of PES 2010’s packaging and marketing materials. Fernando Torres was born in Madrid in 1984, and gained acclaim by helping Spain win the Under 16 UEFA European Championships in 2001 scoring the only goal in the final against France. His pace and prowess in front of goal saw him signed by Atlético de Madrid as an 11-year-old, making his mark in the first team from the age of 17 and scoring 82 goals in 214 league appearances for the club. This form took him to Liverpool for a £26m fee in 2007, where his prolific strike rate has continued and has seen him cement his place in the senior Spanish national squad. Torres was a pivotal figure in Spain’s successful EURO 2008 campaign where he again scored the only goal in the final against Germany.

“Everyone knows that when it comes to football simulation, Konami’s PES series is by far the most realistic title available,” commented Torres. “The new game looks absolutely stunning, and I look forward to seeing myself in action in PES 2010.” “Fernando Torres has established himself as one of the most exciting strikers in the game,” added Jon Murphy, PES European Team Leader. “He encapsulates everything that is good about the modern game, showcasing both pace, skill and vision – three elements that play a major part in PES 2010 as a football simulation.”

In addition to the announcement of Torres’ involvement, Konami has also unveiled key new additions to PES 2010’s content:

• Enhanced Realism: PES 2010 delivers a pace of game in tune with football played at the highest level. Triangulation of passes and use of off-the-ball runs are key to breaking down the opposition, forcing the player to use the strengths of their team mates to create scoring opportunities. Gone are ‘soft’ goals that can be used to break the deadlock; instead, only working the channels and the precision play expected of great players will make a difference.

• Player Characteristics: Key skills of the many players have now been attributed names, allowing users to incorporate them into their play strategy. Cover star Torres, for instance, is renowned for his ability to receive a pass in the penalty area, and to drop the ball to a teammate in a good position for a goal-scoring opportunity. As such, he is labeled a ‘Fox in the Box’ and Goal Poacher’, in line with his prowess in both scoring and setting up goals. Player characteristics are more vividly reproduced by these names.

• Instant Tactical Switching: Konami has already unveiled its new tactical bar system related to PES 2010’s attacking and defensive elements, but can now reveal additional information. Each team has unique settings matching their real-life playing styles. Torres at Liverpool, for instance, will recreate the Merseyside club’s sophisticated play and high numbers in attack, their pressing from midfield, strong defensive line, and width across the pitch. For the offense, the default settings support wide attacks and the aim to move in the back of the opponent’s defense line. The user can summon the bar instantly during a match to adjust team tactics to enhance their defence or strengthen attacks.

• Master League: The Master League now incorporates both the Champions League and Europa Leagues in its content, offering a complete season for players to enjoy. Success in the Master League will see players streamed into these competitions. The lure of European football can also be used to attract stronger players to your side, with transfer dealings and contracts now significantly more realistic in their use.

• Commentary: PES 2010 reunites Jon Champion and Mark Lawrenson in the game’s virtual commentary box, but in a more effective way than before. The commentary is now more tied to the action, with comments detailing player ability, significant match history and analysis, within a more concise and detailed delivery designed to mimic the presentation of games.

Right now we’re not too sure if this means that all the release dates are the same as last year, which would mean no early release world wide. News on that as soon as we have it.

Every element of PES 2010 is being transformed and improved, as Konami strives to create the most realistic football simulation available. The PES 2010 trailer will be shown for the first time during the June 2nd-4th event in Los Angeles, and is designed to show off the stunning new graphics of PES 2010. The new trailer serves to detail the huge advances the new game enjoys, and major advancements in how it plays.

PES 2010’s new visual realism brings the beautiful game to vivid life, with unique skin textures for individual players, and a level of detail that allows users to see the different weaves used in the various kits, their animated faces, and even the hairs on their arms! The game also boasts an all-new dynamic lighting system, wherein shadows are cast in real-time, creating a photo-realistic look to the new game.

At the centre of PES 2010, however, is an amazingly close representation of the pace and skill of top-level football. The PES Productions team has worked to recreate the pace and tactical approach of a top-flight game, with mature skill and vision needed to create space and scoring opportunities. No longer can users score soft goals via overly-familiar means, instead PES 2010 counters such play and constantly forces the user to spread the ball around as they would in a real match.

To this end, an all-new tactical system has been implemented. A new ‘Power Gauge’ system features an easy-to-use sliding bar system with several categories; half for defence, and the others for attacking play. These allow users to change their overall style of play with ease, and adopt strategies related to support for the player in possession, the space players leave each other, how often players change position, and the pressure put on the opposition when they have the ball.

The new footage focuses on PES 2010 cover star, Messi, who fronts the new game having enjoyed an amazingly successful season at FC Barcelona. Fresh from the UEFA Champions League final – football’s premier cup competition and exclusively featured in PES 2010 – the trailer also shows some of the many individual skills the new game attributes to specific players.

“I am both a professional footballer and a huge PES fan, and am delighted to again be the front man for such an incredible football title as PES 2010,” commented Messi. “Although it has been a successful one, it has been a long and hard season, and I am looking forward to getting to grips with PES 2010 before the real thing starts again this year!”

The Electronic Entertainment Expo, better known as E3, is a major event in the gaming calender. Held at the L.A. Convention Centre, due to it’s U.S. origin football (soccer) games rarely get a showing. The consensus tends to be that Gamscom (previously Leipzig) is the best time to show them. In the latest PSM3 podcast, however, the staff claim PES 2010 will buck the trend and appear at the show! Listen to the podcast by clicking here.

The magic words are said around the 1hr 12min mark. Also note they claim that FIFA 10 is at E3 too.

Now, before we get carried away, this still isn’t an official comment, more like a magazine making a prediction. On the flip-side, they do sound very confident about the prospect of the unveiling – and lets not forget their close relationship with Konami. Not long to go until we find out!

Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH has released the first in-game image of its forthcoming Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 title, demonstrating the stunning new level of detail and graphical refinement the new game enjoys.

The work in progress image shows cover star Lionel Messi in action in the new game, and showcase a massive advance in aesthetic detail. Crucial to the new game’s look are all-new dynamic lighting effects, where the position of the sun or the illumination from the floodlights is reflected in real time within the shadows cast both on the pitch, stadium, the ball and players.

The newly-expanded Tokyo-based PES Productions team has also worked hard to create the most vivid player recreations to date. Player expressions are now fully implemented, while the level of detail has been extended to individual skin textures and different weaves for the various kits to mimic the breathable material so many manufacturers now use.

The official PES blog has been updated with todays launch of news, and I would presume so has the widget. Right now no insight from the team regarding the new screen, but fingers crossed some info from the blog to follow soon.
